UO President Michael Schill has introduced a 2nd spherical of funding for Language Learning Innovation for Teaching, a software designed to catalyze innovation in language coaching and gaining knowledge. New curricula evolved through this system, LIFT will bolster participation in second-language getting-to-know and teaching, offer multiple paths to talent, and inspire college students to persist in language. The funding is part of the president’s ongoing dedication to the importance and advancement of the UO arts. Schill made an initial $ 100,000 investment in LIFT in 2018-19, supported using an extra $30,000 from the College of Arts and Sciences dean. The preliminary funding has resulted in the developing of the first wave of pioneering language publications.
